AI Summit Protest - Bletchley Park
person icon
Hosted by PauseAI
calendar icon
Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 9 am GMT
Details
The UK is on a roll. Acknowledging virtually every risk from AI, investing £100M in AI safety, organizing a summit, accouncing an AI Safety Institute.

But good is not good enough. Top AI experts like Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio have made it very clear: we do not know how to control a superhuman AI. If we get this wrong, human extinction is a very real possibility. Therefore we are calling for an immediate and indefinite pause on frontier AI research and development.

The Summit is a golden opportunity to governments to take the first steps towards sensible international AI safety regulation, and for us to set the narrative!

7:45am - Meet near King’s Cross, get in a minivan and drive to the summit.
9am - Arrive at the Summit (meeting everyone who didn’t come in the van) and protest.
12pm - Lunch nearby the Summit
---Around this point some people will leave from Bletchley Station. We will provide train tickets home.---
1pm - Protest at the Summit some more / hang out / talk to the media
4pm - Drive to Cambridge in the minivan
6pm - Protest outside Sam Altman’s talk at the Cambridge Union
8pm - Return to London in the van.
Please reserve your seat in the van by signing up here: https://www.mixily.com/event/4419031774197158693 and writing a message in your RSVP. Or you can message me directly. Also please share on Facebook to spread the word: https://fb.me/e/1al93JSwS.

Note the plan above is not entirely set in stone. We don't know all the details of the Summit yet, but this should give you a good idea of what the day will be like. See you on Wednesday!

I enjoy the variety of enemies in Doodle Jump . Each enemy poses a different challenge, which keeps the gameplay fresh. I like figuring out the best strategies for dodging them. It adds an interesting layer of complexity to the jumping mechanics.
