Final reminder of Celebration of Life for Richard Quakenbush (Dick Harmon)

We will gather tomorrow, June 8th at (or before - see below) 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time, at the Leaven Community/Salt and Light Lutheran Church, for 3-5 hours to celebrate Richard's life, connect with each other, share stories, sing, and eat. (The "service" will likely be about 2.25 hours.)

Leaven is at 5431 NE 20th Ave, Portland, OR 97211.

We are inviting people to come early, since we'll have a slide show set up with over 100 photos of Richard running in the Sun Room, wall sheets up in the hallway to collect your memories, reflections, fulminating, and anything else you'd like to share, and hundreds of books from Richard's library that we are hoping you all will take home with you,

There will be folks at Leaven starting about 10:00 a.m., so if you'd like to head over early to peruse the books please do! Most of them are set up in the basement, and there will be people who can point you in the right direction.

We can still use help tomorrow morning. Please email John Rodgers at jenrodgvb@gmail.com or call him at 503-473-6410 if you want details, or just show up and someone will put you to work :-).

Please do remember that we have folks (including me) attending who are at high risk for bad COVID outcomes regardless of our fully vaccinated status. Please don't come if you are feeling sick, have a confirmed exposure to COVID, or a positive COVID test. Thanks for understanding and protecting us.

We will also Zoom the ceremony, for folks who can't be there in person. Here is the Zoom link:
